Elles abritent \u00e9ga\u00adle\u00adment des traces uniques de leur en\u00advi\u00adron\u00adne\u00adment pas\u00ads\u00e9 dont l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation d\u00e9\u00adpend \u00e9troi\u00adte\u00adment de la tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des der\u00adni\u00e8res an\u00adn\u00e9es, beau\u00adcoup d\u2019\u00e9tudes ont por\u00adt\u00e9 sur les sp\u00e9\u00adl\u00e9o\u00adth\u00e8mes, for\u00adma\u00adtions car\u00adbo\u00adna\u00adt\u00e9es se\u00adcon\u00addaires telles que sta\u00adlag\u00admites et cou\u00adl\u00e9es sta\u00adlag\u00admi\u00adtiques, en rai\u00adson de leur ca\u00adpa\u00adci\u00adt\u00e9 \u00e0 ar\u00adchi\u00adver des in\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtions pa\u00adl\u00e9oen\u00advi\u00adron\u00adne\u00admen\u00adtales que l\u2019on peut da\u00adter avec pr\u00e9\u00adci\u00adsion, sur les der\u00adniers 0.5 Ma en\u00advi\u00adron. Plu\u00adsieurs m\u00e9\u00adca\u00adnismes, dont la dif\u00adfu\u00adsion ther\u00admique dans l\u2019encaissant ro\u00adcheux et l\u2019advection par l\u2019eau et l\u2019air, trans\u00adf\u00e8rent de la cha\u00adleur de la sur\u00adface ex\u00adt\u00e9\u00adrieure vers la ca\u00advi\u00adt\u00e9. En fonc\u00adtion de l\u2019importance re\u00adla\u00adtive de ces dif\u00adf\u00e9\u00adrents flux, la tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture sou\u00adter\u00adraine se\u00adra plus ou moins at\u00adt\u00e9\u00adnu\u00e9e et d\u00e9\u00adpha\u00ads\u00e9e en r\u00e9\u00adponse aux va\u00adria\u00adtions tem\u00adpo\u00adrelles de la tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture ex\u00adt\u00e9\u00adrieure.<\/p>\n<p>Bien com\u00adprendre la r\u00e9\u00adponse ther\u00admique du karst au chan\u00adge\u00adment cli\u00adma\u00adtique est donc fon\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal pour quan\u00adti\u00adfier les taux de dissolution\/pr\u00e9cipitation et in\u00adter\u00adpr\u00e9\u00adter les va\u00adria\u00adtions g\u00e9o\u00adchi\u00admiques ob\u00adser\u00adv\u00e9es dans les concr\u00e9\u00adtions, et pour \u00e9va\u00adluer les im\u00adpacts sur les or\u00adga\u00adnismes vi\u00advants dans les grottes.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"more-text\"><br>\n<br>A par\u00adtir de la lit\u00adt\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture, nous avons for\u00admu\u00adl\u00e9 trois hy\u00adpo\u00adth\u00e8ses que nous cher\u00adche\u00adrons \u00e0 va\u00adli\u00adder dans le pro\u00adjet :<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>La ven\u00adti\u00adla\u00adtion des mas\u00adsifs kars\u00adtiques re\u00adpr\u00e9\u00adsente un m\u00e9\u00adca\u00adnisme do\u00admi\u00adnant pour le trans\u00adfert de cha\u00adleur<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Le temps de r\u00e9\u00adac\u00adtion des mas\u00adsifs et des grottes d\u00e9\u00adpend prin\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adle\u00adment des flux ad\u00advec\u00adtifs (eau et air), plus que de la conduc\u00adtion de cha\u00adleur dans la roche<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Les \u00e9changes ther\u00admiques sont suf\u00adfi\u00adsants pour pro\u00adduire une quan\u00adti\u00adt\u00e9 si\u00adgni\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtive d\u2019eau de conden\u00adsa\u00adtion pour re\u00adchar\u00adger les sys\u00adt\u00e8mes kars\u00adtiques, au-moins dans cer\u00adtaines condi\u00adtions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\nL\u2019objectif du pro\u00adjet est d\u2019effectuer une ana\u00adlyse ap\u00adpro\u00adfon\u00addie des trans\u00adferts de masse et de cha\u00adleur dans les sys\u00adt\u00e8mes kars\u00adtiques pour r\u00e9\u00adpondre \u00e0 ces ques\u00adtions. En par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlier nous sou\u00adhai\u00adtons ca\u00adrac\u00adt\u00e9\u00adri\u00adser les cons\u00e9\u00adquences d\u2019un chan\u00adge\u00adment cli\u00adma\u00adtique sur le mi\u00adlieu sou\u00adter\u00adrain et d\u00e9\u00adter\u00admi\u00adner la r\u00e9\u00adponse ther\u00admique d\u2019une ca\u00advi\u00adt\u00e9 \u00e0 dif\u00adf\u00e9\u00adrentes \u00e9chelles spa\u00adtiales et tem\u00adpo\u00adrelles. Nous d\u00e9\u00adve\u00adlop\u00adpe\u00adrons un mo\u00add\u00e8le glo\u00adbal sim\u00adpli\u00adfi\u00e9 des mas\u00adsifs kars\u00adtiques consti\u00adtu\u00e9 de plu\u00adsieurs sous-sys\u00adt\u00e8mes (roche, conduit, \u00e9pi\u00adkarst\u2026). Les trans\u00adferts de cha\u00adleur par conduc\u00adtion et ad\u00advec\u00adtion (eau et air) dans la roche et les conduits se\u00adront en\u00adti\u00e8\u00adre\u00adment cou\u00adpl\u00e9s. Ce\u00adpen\u00addant, les ef\u00adfets de la ven\u00adti\u00adla\u00adtion na\u00adtu\u00adrelle des grottes, et de l\u2019\u00e9pikarst ne sont ac\u00adtuel\u00adle\u00adment pas bien quan\u00adti\u00adfi\u00e9s, ren\u00addant leur mo\u00add\u00e9\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adtion ha\u00adsar\u00addeuse. Des me\u00adsures de ter\u00adrain se\u00adront donc me\u00adn\u00e9es pa\u00adral\u00adl\u00e8\u00adle\u00adment aux si\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtions.<\/p>\n<p>Pour at\u00adteindre cet ob\u00adjec\u00adtif, le pro\u00adjet s\u2019appuie sur deux \u00e9quipes aux com\u00adp\u00e9\u00adtences com\u00adpl\u00e9\u00admen\u00adtaires, l\u2019une sp\u00e9\u00adcia\u00adliste du mo\u00adni\u00adto\u00adring et de la concep\u00adtua\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adtion des sys\u00adt\u00e8mes kars\u00adtiques (ISSKA), l\u2019autre des trans\u00adferts de cha\u00adleur et de masse (FAST). Ces deux vo\u00adlets se\u00adront donc trai\u00adt\u00e9s en pa\u00adral\u00adl\u00e8le. Au d\u00e9\u00adbut, une \u00e9tude pa\u00adra\u00adm\u00e9\u00adtrique (mo\u00add\u00e8le ini\u00adtial) se\u00adra me\u00adn\u00e9e avec des mo\u00add\u00e8les ana\u00adly\u00adtiques sim\u00adpli\u00adfi\u00e9s afin d\u2019estimer la ma\u00adgni\u00adtude des pro\u00adces\u00adsus res\u00adpec\u00adtifs sous dif\u00adf\u00e9\u00adrentes condi\u00adtions. Ce\u00adci per\u00admet\u00adtra de pr\u00e9\u00adci\u00adser le conte\u00adnu du<br>\npre\u00admier mo\u00add\u00e8le nu\u00adm\u00e9\u00adrique (vo\u00adlet 1) et de l\u2019acquisition des don\u00adn\u00e9es sur le ter\u00adrain (vo\u00adlet 2). Les deux vo\u00adlets se\u00adront syn\u00adth\u00e9\u00adti\u00ads\u00e9s it\u00e9\u00adra\u00adti\u00adve\u00adment tout au long du pro\u00adgramme de re\u00adcherche, ce qui per\u00admet\u00adtra de dis\u00adcu\u00adter les trois hy\u00adpo\u00adth\u00e8ses \u00e0 la fin. Deux sites prin\u00adci\u00adpaux se\u00adront ins\u00adtru\u00admen\u00adt\u00e9s in\u00adcluant le la\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adtoire sou\u00adter\u00adrain de Mi\u00adlandre o\u00f9 de nom\u00adbreuses don\u00adn\u00e9es sont d\u00e9\u00adj\u00e0 dis\u00adpo\u00adnibles. Les sites se\u00adront mo\u00adni\u00adto\u00adr\u00e9s en tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture ain\u00adsi que pour les prin\u00adci\u00adpaux pa\u00adra\u00adm\u00e8tres contr\u00f4\u00adlant le trans\u00adfert de masse : flux d\u2019air et d\u2019eau en uti\u00adli\u00adsant des me\u00adsures di\u00adrectes (d\u00e9\u00adbits) et in\u00addi\u00adrectes (CO2 et ra\u00addon).<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9quipe de deux doc\u00adto\u00adrants est pr\u00e9\u00advue pour d\u00e9\u00adployer le mo\u00adni\u00adto\u00adring sur le ter\u00adrain et d\u00e9\u00adve\u00adlop\u00adper les com\u00adp\u00e9\u00adtence et ou\u00adtils de si\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtion n\u00e9\u00adces\u00adsaires au pro\u00adjet. Les cher\u00adcheurs ex\u00adp\u00e9\u00adri\u00admen\u00adt\u00e9s de l\u2019ISSKA et du FAST sou\u00adtien\u00addront ac\u00adti\u00adve\u00adment les doc\u00adto\u00adrants pour<br>\n\u00e9ta\u00adblir les pro\u00adc\u00e9\u00addures, d\u00e9\u00adve\u00adlop\u00adper les com\u00adp\u00e9\u00adtences et prendre les d\u00e9\u00adci\u00adsions n\u00e9\u00adces\u00adsaires \u00e0 r\u00e9\u00adsoudre les d\u00e9\u00adfis qui se pr\u00e9\u00adsen\u00adte\u00adront.<\/p>\n<p>Ce pro\u00adjet ap\u00adpor\u00adte\u00adra in\u00adcon\u00adtes\u00adta\u00adble\u00adment des in\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtions nou\u00advelles sur la r\u00e9\u00adponse des mas\u00adsifs kars\u00adtiques aux chan\u00adge\u00adments cli\u00adma\u00adtiques, sur la ven\u00adti\u00adla\u00adtion des mas\u00adsifs et sur l\u2019importance de la conden\u00adsa\u00adtion pour la re\u00adcharge des aqui\u00adf\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9\u00adsul\u00adtats du pro\u00adjet ap\u00adpor\u00adte\u00adront aus\u00adsi des don\u00adn\u00e9es es\u00adsen\u00adtielles pour d\u2019autres do\u00admaines : l\u2019alimentation en eau po\u00adtable (va\u00adria\u00adtions de tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture des sources kars\u00adtiques), san\u00adt\u00e9 pu\u00adblique (ra\u00addon ex\u00adha\u00adl\u00e9 dans les ha\u00adbi\u00adta\u00adtions), la sp\u00e9\u00adl\u00e9o\u00adge\u00adn\u00e8se (cor\u00adro\u00adsion par conden\u00adsa\u00adtion), le per\u00adma\u00adfrost (gla\u00adci\u00e8res na\u00adtu\u00adrelles), la g\u00e9o\u00adther\u00admie basse tem\u00adp\u00e9\u00adra\u00adture (ef\u00adfet des conduits sur les \u00e9changes ther\u00admiques), le per\u00adce\u00adment de tun\u00adnels et de mines (pr\u00e9\u00addic\u00adtion de vides et d\u2019intrusions mas\u00adsives d\u2019eau), la t\u00e9\u00adl\u00e9\u00add\u00e9\u00adtec\u00adtion (in\u00adter\u00adpr\u00e9\u00adta\u00adtion d\u2019anomalies ther\u00admiques), la conser\u00adva\u00adtion des grottes (pro\u00adtec\u00adtion des grottes ar\u00adch\u00e9o\u00adlo\u00adgiques et tou\u00adris\u00adtiques), le cycle du car\u00adbone (la dis\u00adso\u00adlu\u00adtion et la pr\u00e9\u00adci\u00adpi\u00adta\u00adtion des car\u00adbo\u00adnates sont contr\u00f4\u00adl\u00e9es par la pCO2, donc par la Elles abritent \\u00e9galement des traces uniques de leur environnement pass\\u00e9 dont l\\u2019interpr\\u00e9tation d\\u00e9pend \\u00e9troitement de la temp\\u00e9rature.<br \/>\\n<br \/>Au cours des derni\\u00e8res ann\\u00e9es, beaucoup d\\u2019\\u00e9tudes ont port\\u00e9 sur les sp\\u00e9l\\u00e9oth\\u00e8mes, formations carbonat\\u00e9es secondaires telles que stalagmites et coul\\u00e9es stalagmitiques, en raison de leur capacit\\u00e9 \\u00e0 archiver des informations pal\\u00e9oenvironnementales que l\\u2019on peut dater avec pr\\u00e9cision, sur les derniers 0.5 Ma environ. Plusieurs m\\u00e9canismes, dont la diffusion thermique dans l\\u2019encaissant rocheux et l\\u2019advection par l\\u2019eau et l\\u2019air, transf\\u00e8rent de la chaleur de la surface ext\\u00e9rieure vers la cavit\\u00e9. En fonction de l\\u2019importance relative de ces diff\\u00e9rents flux, la temp\\u00e9rature souterraine sera plus ou moins att\\u00e9nu\\u00e9e et d\\u00e9phas\\u00e9e en r\\u00e9ponse aux variations temporelles de la temp\\u00e9rature ext\\u00e9rieure.<br \/>\\n<br \/>Bien comprendre la r\\u00e9ponse thermique du karst au changement climatique est donc fondamental pour quantifier les taux de dissolution\\\/pr\\u00e9cipitation et interpr\\u00e9ter les variations g\\u00e9ochimiques observ\\u00e9es dans les concr\\u00e9tions, et pour \\u00e9valuer les impacts sur les organismes vivants dans les grottes.<br \/><\\\/p>\\n<span class=\\\"more-text\\\">\\n<br \/>A partir de la litt\\u00e9rature, nous avons formul\\u00e9 trois hypoth\\u00e8ses que nous chercherons \\u00e0 valider dans le projet :\\n\n\n<ol>   \\n\n\n<li>La ventilation des massifs karstiques repr\\u00e9sente un m\\u00e9canisme dominant pour le transfert de chaleur<\\\/li><br \/>\\n\n\n<li>Le temps de r\\u00e9action des massifs et des grottes d\\u00e9pend principalement des flux advectifs (eau et air), plus que de la conduction de chaleur dans la roche<\\\/li><br \/>\\n\n\n<li>Les \\u00e9changes thermiques sont suffisants pour produire une quantit\\u00e9 significative d\\u2019eau de condensation pour recharger les syst\\u00e8mes karstiques, au-moins dans certaines conditions.<\\\/li>\\n<\\\/ol><br \/>\\nL\\u2019objectif du projet est d\\u2019effectuer une analyse approfondie des transferts de masse et de chaleur dans les syst\\u00e8mes karstiques pour r\\u00e9pondre \\u00e0 ces questions. En particulier nous souhaitons caract\\u00e9riser les cons\\u00e9quences d\\u2019un changement climatique sur le milieu souterrain et d\\u00e9terminer la r\\u00e9ponse thermique d\\u2019une cavit\\u00e9 \\u00e0 diff\\u00e9rentes \\u00e9chelles spatiales et temporelles. Nous d\\u00e9velopperons un mod\\u00e8le global simplifi\\u00e9 des massifs karstiques constitu\\u00e9 de plusieurs sous-syst\\u00e8mes (roche, conduit, \\u00e9pikarst\\u2026). Les transferts de chaleur par conduction et advection (eau et air) dans la roche et les conduits seront enti\\u00e8rement coupl\\u00e9s. Cependant, les effets de la ventilation naturelle des grottes, et de l\\u2019\\u00e9pikarst ne sont actuellement pas bien quantifi\\u00e9s, rendant leur mod\\u00e9lisation hasardeuse. Des mesures de terrain seront donc men\\u00e9es parall\\u00e8lement aux simulations.<br \/>\\n\\n <br \/>Pour atteindre cet objectif, le projet s\\u2019appuie sur deux \\u00e9quipes aux comp\\u00e9tences compl\\u00e9mentaires, l\\u2019une sp\\u00e9cialiste du monitoring et de la conceptualisation des syst\\u00e8mes karstiques (ISSKA), l\\u2019autre des transferts de chaleur et de masse (FAST). Ces deux volets seront donc trait\\u00e9s en parall\\u00e8le. Au d\\u00e9but, une \\u00e9tude param\\u00e9trique (mod\\u00e8le initial) sera men\\u00e9e avec des mod\\u00e8les analytiques simplifi\\u00e9s afin d\\u2019estimer la magnitude des processus respectifs sous diff\\u00e9rentes conditions. Ceci permettra de pr\\u00e9ciser le contenu du\\npremier mod\\u00e8le num\\u00e9rique (volet 1) et de l\\u2019acquisition des donn\\u00e9es sur le terrain (volet 2). Les deux volets seront synth\\u00e9tis\\u00e9s it\\u00e9rativement tout au long du programme de recherche, ce qui permettra de discuter les trois hypoth\\u00e8ses \\u00e0 la fin. Deux sites principaux seront instrument\\u00e9s incluant le laboratoire souterrain de Milandre o\\u00f9 de nombreuses donn\\u00e9es sont d\\u00e9j\\u00e0 disponibles. Les sites seront monitor\\u00e9s en temp\\u00e9rature ainsi que pour les principaux param\\u00e8tres contr\\u00f4lant le transfert de masse : flux d\\u2019air et d\\u2019eau en utilisant des mesures directes (d\\u00e9bits) et indirectes (CO2 et radon).<br \/>\\n\\n<br \/>Une \\u00e9quipe de deux doctorants est pr\\u00e9vue pour d\\u00e9ployer le monitoring sur le terrain et d\\u00e9velopper les comp\\u00e9tence et outils de simulation n\\u00e9cessaires au projet. Les chercheurs exp\\u00e9riment\\u00e9s de l\\u2019ISSKA et du FAST soutiendront activement les doctorants pour\\n\\u00e9tablir les proc\\u00e9dures, d\\u00e9velopper les comp\\u00e9tences et prendre les d\\u00e9cisions n\\u00e9cessaires \\u00e0 r\\u00e9soudre les d\\u00e9fis qui se pr\\u00e9senteront.<br \/>\\n\\n<br \/>Ce projet apportera incontestablement des informations nouvelles sur la r\\u00e9ponse des massifs karstiques aux changements climatiques, sur la ventilation des massifs et sur l\\u2019importance de la condensation pour la recharge des aquif\\u00e8res.<br \/>\\n\\n <br \/>Les r\\u00e9sultats du projet apporteront aussi des donn\\u00e9es essentielles pour d\\u2019autres domaines : l\\u2019alimentation en eau potable (variations de temp\\u00e9rature des sources karstiques), sant\\u00e9 publique (radon exhal\\u00e9 dans les habitations), la sp\\u00e9l\\u00e9ogen\\u00e8se (corrosion par condensation), le permafrost (glaci\\u00e8res naturelles), la g\\u00e9othermie basse temp\\u00e9rature (effet des conduits sur les \\u00e9changes thermiques), le percement de tunnels et de mines (pr\\u00e9diction de vides et d\\u2019intrusions massives d\\u2019eau), la t\\u00e9l\\u00e9d\\u00e9tection (interpr\\u00e9tation d\\u2019anomalies thermiques), la conservation des grottes (protection des grottes arch\\u00e9ologiques et touristiques), le cycle du carbone (la dissolution et la pr\\u00e9cipitation des carbonates sont contr\\u00f4l\\u00e9es par la pCO2, donc par la ventilation), la biologie souterraine (biotopes\\nsouterrains)\\u2026<br
